October 31st
Halloween. Called the Mardi Gras of the Pacific, thousands join in a spontaneous parade up and down Front Street. Live Entertainment, Food Booths, Costume Contest. And always some truly inspired costumes.

 

Chinese New Year
Saturday, February 8th
Lahaina welcomes in the New Year with the colorful lion dance at the Wo Hing Temple on Front Street in Lahaina. Food Booths, Chinese calligraphy, fire crackers and more. Admission is free.

 

WhaleFest
Saturday, March 15th - Sunday 23rd

A week long festival celebrating the humpback whale. Educational, informative and just plain fun events scheduled at different resorts, shopping centers, parks and harbors throughout West Maui. Admission is free to most events.

 

King Kamehameha Day Parade and Ho`olaule`a
Saturday, June 7th
This colorful floral parade winds its way down Front Street in Lahaina and features pa`u riders, marching bands, floral floats, decorated vehicles and walking units. Food booths, Hawaiian entertainment and an award ceremony will be held at Kamehameha Iki Park (next to 505 Front St.) at the conclusion of the parade. Admission is free.

 

Art Night Celebration
Saturday, July 5th
Front Street closes to traffic on Saturday evening a art and artists take to the streets. There will be food booths, music,art in action projects, arts and crafts booths and gallery displays. Admission is free.
