How much does a web page cost?
We find that rather than try to bill by the hour, or by each link, photo etc. it is easier for our clients and for us to bid on the entire project. If the bid is accepted we begin the graphics and html coding, and the process is underway.

Average cost of a full business web page design posted with the major search engines is $1,000 to $1,500. Although we have done simple pages for as little as $350, and complex sites up to $5,000...

What is an ISP ?:
An ISP is your Internet Service Provider. The Computer that your web page will be stored on, such as MauiNet, CCMaui.net, FlexNet. Etc.This will also be your dial-up account.

Do I need a computer to have a web page ?:
No…But without paying someone to administer your site’s e-mail and relay the information on to you (at your expense) the whole point of being on "The Net" is somewhat lost. Also during the development stages of your site it is much easier if you can simply go to the temporary site set up for your design and e-mail or call with any suggestions or ideas.

How Much Does The Internet Cost ?:
As Little as $10 per Month to $35 per month.

What is a domain name and do I need one ?:
A domain name is YOUR address/URL. Such as www.graphic-park.com or www.luckeystrike.com These are easier to relate over the phone, and reflect your business name much better than a file on the Internet. An example of an address that is not a domain name… http://www.maui.net/~graphpk/index.html. A Domain name is exclusively yours, no one else can have the same domain name!

Verisign Charges are around $50 for Set-up. With additional charges for renewal every two years. Also the cost of your site usually goes up about $10 per month. It is possible to switch to a domain name at any time. A domain name may also help you recieve a better ranking in the search engines

Will being on the Internet solve all of my problems ?
Probably not, consider a web page as a world-wide distributed magazine publication. It has a table of contents, ‘about the company’, pages and pages of information, as well as color photographs, 360° panoramas’ contact pages for more information. And the cost is much more effective than say... the yellow pages. It is Pre-destination ADVERTISING, anyone in the world can read your company "Magazine".  And of course you would add your URL to all of your printed material.

About Search Engines:

It’s great to have an informative and easy to use site. However this doesn’t mean much if no one can find it. 96% of internet users will use one of the following major search engines to find a site.

Each search engine has its own individual rules and use of HTML codes for getting high rankings within their index.

The standard Search engine listing
(included with your web page) creates one page with meta tags and keyword tags that will enable a user to type in for example , "hiking maui" and find your site, possibly within the top 20 listings. This depends of course on what your site is about; Deep sea fishing will be easier to get a high ranking than say, vacation rentals. There are less sites about fishing than property or vacation rentals. There are literally thousands of property sites just for Maui.

One has to be very patient with search engine listings. We can list your URL with all of the above engines, plus Canada.com and Anzwers.com (Australia) within about 1 -1/2 hours.

One search engine will list you within 48 hours, another is 48 hours to 2 weeks. The rest will take 2 to 10 weeks to list your site within their index. Patience is the key!

Once listed we then go back and re-work the keywords and code to try and get you and even higher listing. All of this takes a couple of months at least.

Graphic Park offers a Site Management service:
If it is imperative to be listed as high as possible in your area of business, we offer a search engine tracking service.

First we create separate pages with meta code for each individual search engine, (very time consuming), then we list your pages with each corresponding search engine. Once you are listed within the search engines we then re-work the meta keywords and codes to get a higher and higher ranking in you area of business.

We offer web search tracking to let you know how you are ranked within each of the major search engines.

This service will cost $100 per month. And includes any text changes or updates within your site. New pages or photos are not included.

Payment:

We require 25% of the estimate in a non-refundable deposit. The deposit is necessary because of the many phases of work involved, from Graphics design to HTML and Java Scripting, to the navigation and links. To create a concise and easy to use site, all of this must be coordinated and scheduled from start to finish, as one project.

Our goal is to create a site that stands out as original and different, than the average "clip-art" web page. One that reflects your business’ look and style.

Remainder of payment is due when all has been reviewed and approved.
